Description

name; Riptide.
alias; Ripley.
age; Unknown - looks and sounds to be in his early thirties.
gender; Male.
height; 6'2" at the shoulder; he's a big doggy.
weight; 308 lbs.
occupation; Reaper.
·Ever since Riptide died*, he ended up becoming a Reaper - someone who goes to people who are dying and takes their souls. Once he takes a soul, he can do one of three things: he can absorb the soul to become more powerful; he can send the soul to Heaven; or he can send the soul to Hell. While he prefers to absorb the soul, he can't do this as often as he likes, as this takes up more energy than it does to send it to Heaven or Hell.
*see biography
abilities/powers; Foxfire - These are little balls of fire that circle him when he is using his powers. They contain his aura, and basically, his power. They cannot be doused by regular water, but can be put out with holy water. The fire is essentially harmless, so if it passes through you, you won't get burnt. If you're fighting him while these are out, you'd best be prepared, and, if you have holy water on you, you'd want to go for these first. If you take out the Foxfire, you render him useless in the form of magic. This ability is an add-on to the other powers, so it takes little to no energy.
Fire - He can generate fire from his tails and mouth. This fire can hurt a lot, and can be put out with regular water. He can use this power quite often, as it takes little to no energy.
Dream Manifestation - The ability to appear in one's dreams. He only does this if he finds his opponent sleeping, and will basically go Freddy Krueger on their ass. Takes quite a bit of energy, and his opponent doesn't usually sleep that often, so he uses this scarcely.
Shape Shifting - An ability that takes practically no energy unless he uses it very often. This allows him to change into a human (human reference coming soon), but only into a human. He can't shift into anything else aside from that.
Illusions - The ability to form illusions that are nearly indistinguishable from reality. Can be defeated if the opponent is experienced with fighting with their eyes closed, as if you can see the illusion, it's still in effect. The second you can't see, it renders it useless. Takes a lot of energy, so he'll use this extremely rarely.
False Heart - Like most Kitsunes, Riptide's heart and life force is in one of his tails. It is never classified which one it is, but if one were to cut off the tail which contained his life force, he'd be killed instantly. However, if one were to hit him anywhere else - in the head, in the chest, anywhere - he would not die.
strengths; Brute Strength - He's a very big kitsune, enabling him to knock down his opponents rather easily.
Stubborn - And therefore, hard to manipulate.
Sharp Claws/Teeth - If you're made of flesh, he can easily rip you to shreds.
Lying/Manipulating - He makes his opponents question themselves before he kills them, and is skilled with speech.
weaknesses; Mentally Weak - Simply put, he's a brutish moron who will fight without warning. He lets his anger control his reason.
Arrogant - He's very prone to flattery.
Easily Distracted - If he sees something of interest, be it something shiny or living, he'll forget everything and go for it.
Immature - Doesn't take anything seriously at all, even if someone's life is in danger.
personality; Riptide is a sarcastic, talkative flirt who loves nothing more than mischief. He's very rude to everyone, but he doesn't mean to be. He's just painfully honest and doesn't think of it as being rude. Aside from that, Riptide is very arrogant, and rather easily amused (mostly by someone elses' pain). Riptide is easily annoyed, even though he loves irritating people. He is sassy and selfish, but won't hesitate to fight for his only friend - Sherlocke. Although he likes annoying the smaller, he rather enjoys his company, and is very protective of the small Warlock.
---
name; Sherlocke.
alias; Locke, Shirley (only by Riptide).
age; Twenty-four.
gender; Male.
height; 2" at the shoulder; rather small for his species.
weight; 26 lbs.
occupation; Warlock.
abilities/powers; Shape Shifting - Like Riptide, Sherlocke can easily shift into his human form (human reference coming soon) without taking up too much energy.
Basic Magic - Sherlocke can do any sorts of small magic, and these have varying drawbacks. He can somewhat do any form of magic, but the larger the attack, the more energy it takes. It's really up to you what powers he uses, but the more effective they are, the more energy they'll use. However, he cannot use Necromancy. Bringing back the dead is the one thing he cannot do.
strengths; Mentally Strong - Basically, what Riptide lacks, Sherlocke makes up for. Very intelligent and quick-witted.
Agile - Very light on his feet, and can easily dodge attacks.
Loyal - He's sticking with Riptide no matter what. It doesn't matter if what you're fighting for makes more sense to him than what Riptide's fighting for; so long as Riptide is still by Sherlocke's side, Sherlocke will stay by him through thick and thin.
weaknesses; Frail - A simple kick would be enough to break his bones, and therefore, he relies on Riptide for protection.
Physically Weak - If he can't use his magic, he's basically screwed.
Emotional - His heart will go out to anyone depending on the situation. Simply put, he's too sympathetic.
personality; Sherlocke is a gentleman. He's very polite and calm, especially around women. He's tolerable of anything except for abuse, be it physical, verbal, or mental. He's highly against fighting, and is mainly a pacifist. Mainly. Doesn't mean he's not going to fight if the situation calls for it. He's stern and stubborn, and will gladly fight for what he believes in. He's a charmer, but that doesn't necessarily make him a womanizer; in fact, he seems to be asexual, showing no interest in anybody.

biography; The story of these two is a strange one, indeed. Many years ago, a Kitsune was born. He was one of the more mischievous of the species, and ended up using his abilities for his own selfish gain. Unfortunately, this would lead to his demise. In a battle with a Duravahn*, the Kitsune was foolish and cocky. He cut out one of the Duravahn's eyes, and, assuming that it was dead, turned to gloat and walk away. But the Duravahn was not dead; it quickly rose and struck the Kitsune in all three of his tails, killing him instantly.

When the Kitsune reached the Underworld, he was faced with the Death God Uval, and Uval, having pity on the Kitsune, turned him into a Reaper. The Kitsune worked his job miserably, seeing as everyone he came into contact with ran away in fear, due to the pentagram marking on his back. But everything he did to try to conceal it failed; every cloth he put on it was burnt immediately.

Meanwhile, a young Kitsune-Bakeneko hybrid was practicing witchcraft alone in his home. His mother had abandoned him after his father, a Kitsune, was killed for betraying his kind by breeding with a Bakeneko. The Kitsune-Bakeneko hybrid, now living in solitude, had picked up witchcraft as a hobby, to hopefully try and make his life better. But this was during the Great Purge - a massacre of all mages after the King of their land was killed by a Necromancer. All mages were hunted down and killed in public display for entertainment.

One day, while the Kitsune-Bakeneko was out in town getting supplies for his spells, the Royal Guards went after him. Frightened, the Kitsune-Bakeneko quickly cast a spell that he'd only briefly read about - he drew a pentagram in the dirt and began chanting a small ritual in Karskavian*, the language of the mages of their planet. Suddenly, the pentagram glowed a bright blue, and out popped the Kitsune Reaper. The Guards attempted to attack them both - keyword being "attempted".

The Kitsune killed the guards rather quickly and turned back to his summoner, who was staring in shock. The Kitsune-Bakeneko then took off in fear of his life, hoping to escape the murderous Kitsune. Not knowing what else to do, the Kitsune followed him, and has been following him ever since. Although Sherlocke (the Kitsune-Bakeneko) is still terrified of Riptide (the Kitsune), they now get along rather well, and are close companions.
*A Duravahn is basically a very large (around 8 ft tall at the least) ram beast. It looks like a wolf with ram horns and eagle talons, and normally has multiple eyes. Its heart is in one of its eyes, much like a Kitsune's is in one of its tails.
*Karskavian is basically the Wingdings font, just with more strange symbols.
other; Human references are coming soon <3 Any questions about these two? Feel free to ask! I don't bite! Well actually I do, but don't worry, we have a muzzle

I'm no judge or anything, but the OCT is more sci-fi based. These two seem very supernatural and magical, I don't get the alien vibe from 'em, more like something out of folklore or mythology. Not to say that that will keep you from the OCT, but I thought I'd just mention it.
